so we've digitized our footage and on watching it back we have quite a major problem. the footage is rather dark and the the blue screen isnt quite blue and our actors jeans on many occasions blend in with the background. this would prove very hard to composite on. it would require me to paint out a lot of, if not the majority of the frames.
we tried to salvage the footage and change some of the colour balance etc but the shadows made are still very prominent and virtually useless. Some of the group are still going ahead with this footage but now are putted an animated character on to the scene and not the other way round. instead of this Carlos and I have decided to re-film our footage and are now looking at shooting outside and compositing something into real time using a combination of Maya and AfterEffects.
